GENERAL CONTEST RULES
WFJA 105.5 & WWGP 1050/95.1
On-Air and Digital/Social Media Contests and Promotions
These General Contest Rules ("General Rules") govern all sweepstakes, contests, giveaways, and promotions (each, a "Contest") conducted on-air, online, or via social media on WFJA 105.5 and WWGP 1050/95.1 ("Station" or "Stations"). The Stations are licensed to Sandhills Broadcasting ("Licensee") and operated pursuant to a Local Marketing Agreement by SC Media Partners, LLC ("Operator"). Licensee and Operator are together referred to herein as "we" or "us." These General Rules apply to every Contest unless a specific promotion's Official Rules state otherwise, in which case the specific Official Rules control on any point of conflict.
Sponsor: Sandhills Broadcasting (Licensee) and SC Media Partners, LLC (Operator, pursuant to a Local Marketing Agreement), 1830 South Horner Blvd #1010, Sanford, NC 27330, (833) 447-8190. Individual Contests may also be co-sponsored by advertisers or promotional partners identified in that Contest's specific Official Rules.

By entering, entrants represent and warrant that they meet all eligibility requirements. The Station reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any individual who does not meet these requirements.
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FEE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A CONTEST. A purchase, payment, or fee will not increase an entrant's chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law. Contests are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including North Carolina law governing lotteries, sweepstakes, and games of chance.
Specific entry methods, entry periods, and entry limits will be announced on-air, posted on the Station's websites (wwgpradio.com and wfjafm.com), and/or posted on the Station's official social media pages for each Contest. General entry methods may include:
Only entries that comply with these General Rules and the specific Contest's Official Rules will be eligible. Incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, automated, or late entries will be disqualified. Limit one (1) entry per person per day unless otherwise stated in the specific Contest's Official Rules. Use of multiple accounts, aliases, or identities to obtain additional entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
The dates and times of each Contest — including its start, end, and any entry deadlines — will be announced at the site of the Contest (which may be on-air, at a Station remote broadcast or promotional location, on the Station's website, and/or on the Station's official social media pages, as applicable to that Contest). The Station's official time-keeping device or database will be the official timekeeper for each Contest.
Winners will be selected either (a) at random from among all eligible entries received during the Contest period, (b) as the correct/qualifying caller or entrant as determined by Station staff, or (c) based on a skill, trivia, or judged component described in the specific Contest's Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All decisions of the Station regarding the administration and/or conduct of a Contest and the selection of a winner are final and binding in all respects.
Potential winners will be notified by phone, email, direct message, or on-air announcement, as applicable. A potential winner may be required to sign and return, within a specified time (typically 48 hours), an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where lawful) a Publicity Release before a prize is awarded. Failure to respond to notification within the stated time, or failure to comply with these requirements, may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The Station may require a potential winner to provide government-issued photo identification to verify identity, age, and residency.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Contest period and, where applicable, the entrant's skill in responding to a trivia or skill-testing question.
Winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on prizes received. The Station will issue an IRS Form 1099 (or equivalent) to any winner receiving a prize or combination of prizes with an ARV of $600 or more in a calendar year, and may require a completed Form W-9 prior to awarding such a prize.
By calling the Station's contest line, entrants consent to having their call recorded and, in whole or in part, broadcast on-air, streamed online, and/or used in Station promotional materials, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes each winner's consent to the Station's use of the winner's name, voice, photograph, likeness, hometown, and statements about the Contest for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation or further notice or consent, and without review or approval rights.
By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Station, its parent, affiliated, and co-sponsoring companies, and each of their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or from the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, death, or property damage, except to the extent such liability cannot be lawfully waived.
The Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend, or suspend any Contest, in whole or in part, if it determines that the Contest is not capable of being conducted as originally planned, including due to technical failures, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any cause beyond the Station's reasonable control. The Station reserves the right to disqualify any individual it determines, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process, violating these General Rules or the specific Contest's Official Rules, or acting in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or fraudulent manner.
Information collected from entrants is subject to the Station's Privacy Policy, available at wwgpradio.com and wfjafm.com, and will be used to administer the Contest, notify and verify winners, and comply with applicable law. Entrants may also receive promotional communications from the Station and its co-sponsors unless they opt out.
Contests conducted in whole or in part on Facebook, Instagram, or other third-party social media platforms are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with that platform. Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Station and not to the platform. All questions, comments, or complaints regarding a Contest must be directed to the Station, not to the platform. Entrants agree to that platform's terms of use in addition to these General Rules.
Each Contest is conducted in compliance with the material-terms disclosure requirements of the Federal Communications Commission (47 C.F.R. § 73.1216). The material terms of each Contest — including how to enter, entry deadlines, eligibility restrictions, prize descriptions and ARV, and the basis for winner selection — will be broadcast periodically during the Contest period and/or made available on the Station's website or by written request to the address below.
These General Rules and each Contest are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. By entering, entrants agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to a Contest will be resolved individually, without resort to class action, in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Lee County, North Carolina.
A copy of these General Rules and any specific Contest's Official Rules may be obtained, free of charge, during regular business hours at the Station's studios (2210 Jefferson Davis Highway, Sanford, NC 27330), by calling (833) 447-8190, or online at wwgpradio.com or wfjafm.com, for as long as the specific Contest remains open plus 30 days thereafter.
